Speed cameras in Birmingham

Hi all.
Stupid me got caught speeding yesterday. Old Gatso camera, definitely flashed twice.
Location was Soho Way in Smethwick.
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.4959615,-1.9603304,3a,75y,312.26h,89.41t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sofK_fz7t_9uLWuWY6Lquag!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
I thought all of these Gatso cameras were turned off in 2013?
Can anyone confirm whether there are still Gatso's working in the West Midlands?
How long does it take to get a NIP come through anyway?
Don't need people telling me that speeding was wrong, it was a stupid mistake.

Speeding is wrong...:A
Yes, there are cameras still working in the West Midlands.0 -
IIRC they reactivated the cameras recently (as advised by a relative so take with a pinch of salt).
Worse, they've stuck average speed cameras around Birmingham as well.0 -

You may be unlucky as this is among the speed cameras that just got reactivated around the midlands0

There's a link in this story to the locations of switched on speed cameras.
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/speed-cameras-being-turned-back-11463756
[It says 10 cameras but only gives 8 locations, so I'm not sure where the other 2 are]0 -
Re-activating doesn't necessarily mean that there is film in the camera though.
They could well be playing a psychological game much as they do in parts of Scotland.
One area has 30 odd camera boxes - but only 5 have active cameras in - although they all flash.
Word soon gets around that they are 'flashing' again and people will slow down a bit - hopefully.0 -
I was on holiday in Lincoln in June (from Northumberland), we travelled to Cambridge, Nottingham and Birmingham. We could not believe the number of speed cameras down there. What surprised us was those mounted on the tall yellow poles, as we don't have them up here yet.
I'll never complain about the NE again.0 -

Reading one of the previous posts link it seems that they have now installed ANPR/average speed cameras in the yellow camera boxes, the linked video gives you the locations,0 -
