A mag on twitter loveit has a £100 retweet comp, but the picture to retweet has massive main story about a child being sold for sick crap and killed.

The company has a similar mag cover as their profile pic.

Why are people saying they can't wait to read it, or looks intriguing type comments?

They can't fail to miss the cover story. I'm shocked that people are circulating that story by retweets to win £100.

Do people really buy a magazine to read something so sick?

The company are making money by selling a story as a cover of something so sick and twisted. Where on earth is a line drawn?

Really upset me seeing that today, blocked the company as I don't want to see that type of horror on my timeline.

Vent over............

I've blocked it too. Can't believe the depths these mags will descend to. Thanks for flagging it up.

You should tell the mag exactly what you think toniq

  • The stories on the covers of those mags are quite often sickening, I never buy them but sometimes you get stuck right in front of them at the supermarket. Even the time it takes to enter comps the picture sitting in the corner of the screen is revolting.

I did tell the magazine exactly how disgusting it was before I blocked them.

  • Wow, I retweeted that. I honestly didn't even look at the mag cover or titles. I just know each week they do a retweet comp so as I went through my feed and pressed the RT button. After seeing this post I went back and actually looked at the cover, wow, what a story. That really is sick. I bet a lot of people just did the same as I did though, just skimmed and RT'd.
I just enter and forget...hoping to win something! :)

I'm sure we all do that happy, think that's part of their marketing on twitter hoping we just blindly do it and they get the sales off the mass marketing we just did for them.

    why are people retweeting it

Possible £100 for one click of a button.

Most people won't read or care if they did and it's not that different to some other magazine covers. They are also a very small fish in a constantly shrinking pond, even after closing loveit and re-branding their own magazine, so almost any publicity is good publicity.

(Mag ABCs, at 80k it just limps into the top 90)

Surely that story can't be true? Wouldn't the mother be in jail rather than selling her story to a crappy mag?
