Eon

I'm currently switching from eon's collective switch from last year to BG collective switch this year, i'm due to switch on the 12th oct. I'm sure i saw in one of the threads that Eon would keep you on the old tariff for up to 20 days after it ended if you were switching.
However i have been moved over to Eon's basic tariff in the meantime.

Hiya slipthru,
It's called the price protection window.

It starts in when fixed term contracts like yours near the end. It's open 49 calendar days before the tariff end date until 20 working days after. During this time and provided we're told, we'll make sure you're protected against any price changes that aren't in your favour whilst a change of supplier goes through. Switches usually take about two and half weeks. Exit fees also don't apply whilst this window is open.
Have you let us know, it may be best to have a word with us on the phone asap.
Thank you
Helena

Hi Helena
Is it not up to the new supplier to let the old supplier know.
I am in the same boat as the OP and thought this was how it worked.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

Hi littlemissbossy
Yes, we should receive notification from the new supplier when a customer is leaving, as then the meter reads will be sent etc and the account will go in to loss pending.
I was sort of saying have you asked us, to double check all is going through correctly and we can see the account is leaving.
Hope that explains a little better.
Thank you
