I bought an oven from buy as you view in February, because of the weather it didn't get used much, until I tried doing a mac n cheese in August and it came out like warm in the middle and cooked around the edges. I called them up and they sent out an engineer, he came out checked the oven warmed up (which it did) and left. It still didn't cook. I phoned them up again they came out and did the same thing. Had to phone them a third time he came out die the same thing but this time he charged me for the privilege. It still doesn't cook. I phoned buy as you view and they told me it wouldn't be exchanged by beko, so they sent it over to sales department and they would make a decision as to whether they would sort it out. That was yesterday. I ended up phoning consumer helpline and they said I had to prove there was a fault with the oven by paying someone to come out. I don't have that kind of money in on disability. Someone please help!! What do I do??

You need to get an independent report to prove that its faulty - if the report agrees that it's a manufacturing defect you get your costs back (I believe homeserve offer a service for reports)
You say after they came out it still didn't cook? Did you test this with another Man n Cheese or something else?
I'm not doubting your cooking skills but you want to have all the pieces on your side when it comes to going back to the company - if the oven fails to cook anything properly, and combined with the report they will refund, repair or replace it for you and refund you the cost of the report - and testing with other foods will give a good idea as to weather the report is viable (or weather it was a dodgy mac n cheese)0 -

Could you buy an oven thermometer yourself and check the oven is heating up to, and being maintained at, the required temperature? For example:

If an engineer has already come out I would wish to certain there really is a fault before paying for someone else to inspect the oven.0 -

Sounds as though it was too high. Cook at a lower temperature for a longer time. It obviously does cook or the Mac n Cheese would have been cold.0

What does the weather have to do with not using an oven between February and August? Did you stop eating during that time?0

I get the feeling the OP isn't exactly Raymond Blanc in the kitchen
Macaroni cheese can be an awesome dish and isn't necessarily quick to make. I sweat leeks in butter and fresh thyme, add diced pancetta and then some white wine. Thicken with flour and then add milk, double cream, cheddar and parmesan. Mix in the cooked macaroni, turn out into a buttered dish and bake after sprinkling with sourdough breadcrumbs
Of course you can just buy ready made gloop to reheat0 -
I have tried it with lots of different food. Ot doesn't cook through. I preheat the oven, I've moved the shelves up and down. I just don't get it.0

I never thought of that. Thank you!!!0

You want something like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Tala-10A04104-Oven-Thermometer/dp/B000BN73II/ref=sr_1_3?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1475763821&sr=1-30
