No, attorney has no obligation to share any information with other family members. But there's nothing to stop you asking to be sent some information.

Eldest sister might not have all the details you want in an easy to share format so as well as having to run her own financial life and her mum's she had to work to create something that can be understood by others?

However having the information organised and sharing it miight be a good idea as it will help if anyything happens to your sister, so you could try to use that when you discuss it.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
  • Who cares for MIL?

Do other family members see MIL?

Is the lack of communication only to do with the finances?

Those questions don't need to be answered, but might give a better idea of the whole story, and thus what could or should happen next.

To turn this round the other way, it might be that SIL deals with MIL with no help from other family members, but they are interested only in the finances, and SIL doesn't have the time or energy to do a spreadsheet to satisfy the uninvolved family members - I'm not saying that is what is happening here, but it puts a different slant on the story.

No, the attormey has a duty to the donor but not to anyone else.

If the other siblings have any concerns for example, if they have reason to think that SIL may be misusing MIL's funds or using them for her personal benefit not for MIl then they can contac the Office for the Public Guardian who can investigate, however, if it is simply that SIL isn't very communicative then they could try siting doen to talk to her, not to accuse or demand anythign toto ask, more generally, if she needs any help, whether she would be willing to provide some basic infomarion etc.

It may be that she feels that she ought to keep her mother's affiars confidential, particualrly if mum wasn't in the habit of discussing her finances with the childnre when she was well.
