What to do with redundant plug sockets

There are a few partition walls that I need to knock down. The walls have plug sockets in them. What do I need to do to the plug sockets / wires before I demolish the walls?

If the sockets are spurs you'll need to trace them back to where they originate and safely disconnect the wires and remove the cable.
If they are on the ring then you will need to maintain the continuity of the ring. This will require tracing back to the socket before and after the ones you are removing and rejoining them after the sockets are removed.
You'll probably want to get an electrician in to disconnnect everything safely and test everything once it's done.
If it's helpful and you are comfortable working with electrics you could, as a temporary measure, disconnect the sockets and terminate the wiring in accessible junction boxes until you can get an electrician in to finish the job and let you get on with the demolition work but only if you know what you're doing.0 -
That's brilliant - thank you!!!!0

If you go with junction boxes I would go for maintenance free junction boxes.0
