PS4 "D" Chassis?

I'm looking at picking up a PS4. I want the slim model that came out last month. Not that it's a great deal smaller than the one before it, but still, it's smaller.
Anyway i saw on Amazon it being listed as "D Chassis". What exactly is this? Which version should i actually be going for (i'm not referring to hard drive capacity there)?
Although on the topic of hard drive capacity - i'm not a hard core gamer really. Will 500GB be enough for me you think? I've seen the upgrade methods which look pretty simple. I guess a 2TB model will have greater re-saleability if i ever come to sell it on.
