Hey all,
I'm trying to get a quote for my house insurance but I'm running into a sticking point where most of the insurance companies don't have my postcode registered for my new build due to be completed at the end of month.
I'm trying registering the postcode and house through Royal Mail but as it's not technically be finished I'm not sure if they'll take it.
I need to get it done to hand to the solicitor for the mortgage, do I have to suck it up and go with a broker?
Thanks.

Royal Mail supplies the postcodes to the developer in the first place. It's the insurers dragging their feet in adding them to their database which causes the problems.
I suspect you are trying to do this online. I actually ring our L&G office and have the postcode added myself, so you might have to do the same with your likely insurer(s).I am a mortgage broker. Thanks. I guess I'm actually going to have to call for a quote, which I'd rather not as I'll miss out on cashback but I guess it'll be for this year only.0
