Selltronics are thieving b*stards!

Hi, this one is an advice to people who are looking to sell their used phone.
Don't do business with Selltronics!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tried to sell my mobile to Selltronics and at first they offered 46 pounds. My mobile is an unlocked, double-SIM Galaxy SIII Neo, which was protected by a plastic cover and a screen protector film all the time, so it was in a really good condition. After I sent the phone to them, they knocked off 57% of their original offer due to "heavy wear on the back", and demanded that I pay 5 ponds for the privilege of getting my phone back. Their claim of "heavy wear" was an outlandish lie, of course. I'll never consider doing business with them again.
Not to mention some of the ridiculous mistakes they make: for example I didn't even set up a profile, but they directed me to their support portal to accept or reject their price offer, claiming I had a profile, but they never sent me any password info, so I had to reset my password. But the password reset form required me to log in with my existing password first - which is ridiculous, because I didn't have a password in the first place!
And when they sent the invoice for the 5-pound return fee, there was no bank account information, or what needs to be entered into the remark field. So they sent an invoice which was impossible to pay.
They are a shady organisation, don't do business with them!

In particular:If the amended Trade-In Quote is declined and you are not in agreement with the amended Trade-In Quote you may have the Goods returned to you for a fixed fee of £5.00 to cover postage and packing costs. If the £5 return fee is not paid within 3 days of you rejecting the revised Trade-in Quote we reserve the right to process the Goods and initiate payment for the Offered Value.
So looks like you've got just 3 days to do it otherwise they will pay you out anyway!
God knows why you'd contract with a company who had Ts and Cs like that! (though you probably didn't read them!)0 -
Oh dear, they are naughty naughty....
TECHNOLOGY RECYCLE GROUP LTD
formerly
PHONES4CASH ONLINE LIMITED
Changed names on 7/10/2015. But they are still trading/using the old company name. Its an active website.
Report them....Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
You may want to spend a bit of time on google, website says they have quoted over £44.8 million. Strange for a company with less than £5k.
Try MVD Communications Ltd also.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Several spelling mistakes on their website hints at the sort of company they may be.Its often a fairly reliable indicator .0
