No it doesn't. You just put it in an ATM in your arrival airport (or later) and get your cash that way. But the card itself can be used for virtually any payment in US (assuming that's your destination). If you want to buy dollars in advance use Revolut.

If you have plenty of time to get the Clarity
go for the best of both worlds
get the revolut and the Clarity Card and a PostOffice credit card if you want to
I use all 3 abroad
I use the PO CC for purchases and bills
I use the Clarity and Revolut for cash from ATM
thats what works best for me0 -

The Revolut account allows you to purchase US$ at the mid-market rate and then store them for use at any time, either with the virtual card or the physical card.
It also allows you to leave £s on your account for conversion to US$ and/or Euros at any time.
In addition, it also allows you to leave £s on your account for your to spend in one of 90 currencies by utilising the virtual card or physical card.
