Sky contract ending

My free broadband with SKY has now ended so Im going to ring up & haggle.

I will now have to pay £93.40 a month for -

Line Rental - £17.40
Broadband - £ 7.50
SKY - £68.50 (Variety & Sports, HD Pack)

Ideally I want to stay with SKY broadband for easiness but if I can get Plus Net for £8.82 a month which includes line rental it seems like a no brainer.

Would I be better off going with Plus Net regardless & then a couple of months down the line try to haggle with SKY so that I can try & reduce the £68.50 cost or would you try & cut a deal for the whole lot now?

Thanks
David.

I have cancelled tv and had an offer of 60% off, but that has now lapsed and others say their offers have reverted to 50% for 10 months.

I need to haggle phone and ADSL now and asked if anyone has been able to haggle a good deal, but I only had one reply from someone new to Sky, so a different scenario and the mods have put my posts on the Sky tv thread so there may be no more replies about just phone/ADSL.

I can't find any PlusNet offer as low as you quote, because the nearest I can find is £15.49 for line (by paying upfront), ADSL free, with calls increasing this to £23.49.

If you did go into a plusnet deal you would have to pay a penalty to get out and they seem to be 24 month contracts.

All providers have a get out early penalty.

I checked the £15.49 price (no calls) again, via a comparison site and came up with an £80 cashback (approx. £6.67/month) bringing it down to an average £8.82, as you say, but I do need the calls package. (The site actually brought up what looked like a regular PlusNet page with the £80 flashed in a corner or the page.)

Edit: PlusNet are now offering £75 without having to use a third party site.
