Fitted vinyl flooring problems

Options
We had moduleo vinyl flooring fitted just over 1 year ago and have had the fitters back 6 times since fitting to re-stick parts. These are in different places each time and has compromised the finish. There are also gaps opening up between the vinyl panels.

The fitter is now claiming the house and floor is moving, and is trying not to come back and make further repairs. Having had a surveyor come and inspect we are assured the house and floor is sound and advised it looks like a fitting issue.

The fitter put in writing that he guarantees the quality of workmanship to match the life of the product. The product guarantee is a minimum of ten years and we registered the fitting with the manufacturer at the time.

Given the above, and the increasing likelihood that the fitter will refuse to accept fault, what are my consumer rights and how should I proceed with legal action if it comes to that?

I ended up suing my vinyl flooring firm . I wont in the end. I got an independent report done on the floor and used it in court against the firm

That was going to be my advice. OP, if you're not getting anywhere with the fitter then you need to get an independent assessment done yourself and take it from there.

Moduleo gave me back £400 pound of the £1600 I spent. We used their recommended suppliers/fitters and the best materials. Gaps appeared within a week. the product is substandard and the customer service after sales is the worse that I have encountered.
