Is having lodger(s) allowed in house under help to buy equity loan scheme?

Hello,

I've recently purchased a house under help to buy equity loan scheme.

I'd like to know whether having lodgers in the house is allowed or not while I live in the same house.

Please reply soon.

    The post-sales HTB Agent controls;-

    sub-letting (whole property)
remortgaging (new mortgage with new lender NOT product transfer)
further borrowing (increasing what you owe on mortgage)
    sale (full repayment)
    staircasing (partial/full repayment).

    You can find details here;-

otherwise, there is no mention of lodgers, so you need only establish your mortgage lender's position on this.
