Furniture company refusing to replace

Options
Hi there,

Recently bought a new three-piece suite that has shown up in the correct colour, but without some distinct black piping that had drawn me to it in all the material that I was given prior to purchasing.

I still have the emails with the example images of what the couch should have looked like, and me stating that was what I wanted to order, but not a specific requirement to include the aforementioned black piping (I didn't even know there was an option not to have it).

Anyway, company are refusing to replace. I've left the items packaged and now stuck. Delivery was made just over two weeks ago.

How am I covered under consumer rights and what are the next steps if they refuse to budge?

Thanks,

Rob.

    Who was the company?
Did you place the order online?
If so can you send us the link to the page you ordered it from?
Do you have a copy of the order confirmation - does this mention anything about the piping?

If the black piping was shown in the pictures or samples that you were given and there was nothing to state that this wasn't what you would be getting then there is no need for you to specifically mention it when ordering.

11 Goods to be as described

    (1) Every contract to supply goods by description is to be treated as including a term that the goods will match the description.

    (2) If the supply is by sample as well as by description, it is not sufficient that the bulk of the goods matches the sample if the goods do not also match the description.
How was the suite paid for?
