Hi there
I'm planning on leaving Virgin Media and going for a Freeview recorder box and have heard that you can get access to the internet without a landline (I don't use the landline as have a mobile).
Has anyone else done this or have any advice?
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks
Carol

Satellite or mobile broadband are options. Neither are perfect for everyone though.
Unless you mean a standard ISP but without paying for line rental?0 -
Can you go with a standard ISP without a landline? Sorry if this is a very stupid question :rotfl:0

The only provider I've heard of where this is possible is the one you are already with..Virgin Media.
However, Virgin charge almost as much for a Landline/ BB bundle as they do for broadband alone so you are wasting your time.
Cancel the TV and there will be a substantial saving, cancelling the landline will save very little.0 -
Vodafone also do a broadband only option, but like Virgin mentioned above, there is no real price benefit.
Your broadband needs a line to come to you, and someone has to pay for it and make sure it keeps working.0
