We're gonna need a bigger letter box!

The last thing I received from Tesco was a letter saying they were reducing the rate on my Internet Saver (yeah, sending letters through the post about an Internet account!)
However, they kindly enclosed a coupon for 1,000 clubcard points to keep me sweet. As I only use their savings accounts to create DDs, so it has a small balance, I was quite happy with this as the clubcard points are worth more than the lost interest.0 -

Almost makes me feel guilty for "using" them...just almost!
I'm not sure you can opt out of that, as I'm already paperless for those accounts.
I don't get these confirmations so there must be a way to opt out somehow.0 -
Couldn't agree more. I'm surprised they don't send you one every time you set up a new payee.firsttimemover wrote: »It's Tesco's need to send each direct debit instruction confirmation individually that gets me. We got 12 in one day when I set up the DDs for our BOS accounts!

I work in this area for a bank and it costs them circa £1 for each letter, so it is mind boggling that not enough is being done to move people onto emails.
Aside from the cost alone, there is massive environmental impact we should all be concerned about.0 -
Apply for an HSBC joint account, then apply for one Regular Saver each, then for one Loyalty ISA each, then go on holiday.
When you return you'll barely be able to open the entrance door due to the mountain of letters that arrived while you were out.
You might even be able to spot the area of forest that vanished as a result in Google Maps.0
