World Cruise Insurance

My partner and I love cruising and obviously have standard worldwide holiday insurance. We are just about to book a world cruise so will be paying out a substantial amount. We have been advised to check our insurance covers and see in both cases they only cover up to £10k each which would not match the outlay each. Can I tap in to the knowledge of MSE's on what to do ?

Are you sure that it's £10K and not £10 million which would be more usual? The other thing to beware of is that the policy may specify a maximum 'single trip length' - check that the period insured covers you for your whole time away from the UK until you get back.

Double checked and it does say £10K and yes, I did note there seems to be days limit.

Thank you for your quick response and reply.

I'm guessing then that the £10k relates to Cancellation which as you say isn't enough. Not sure what to suggest I'm afraid, so awaiting other replies ....

A full World cruise is one trip where biting the bullet and taking the cruise company insurance may be worth your while.

Alternatively get a copy of their policy and see if a broker can get similar cover.
