My Dad did all the bleeding and balancing after installing the two new radiators, that's when we realised that the new radiators still weren't heating up.Thanks to everyone for the posts and all the hard work you do. :lovethoug0 -
Are the plastic pipes connected to the boiler or just run near it?
The restriction usually applies because heat can be conducted from the boiler along pipes connected to it.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

All pipework feeding the boiler are copper to start, but there's one that changes to plastic within about 10cm and others slightly further away (under the 60cm that Worcester recommend though). Thanks to everyone for the posts and all the hard work you do. :lovethoug0 -

When you post the pics of the pipes & boiler can you post a pic of the warning notice & just to clarify this notice was done at the same time as they installed the boiler ?I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

Done and yes, the notice is the same date as the installation. Bizarrely I have just noticed that they've checked the box saying that I wasn't present, which I was. Odd.Thanks to everyone for the posts and all the hard work you do. :lovethoug0 -

Well a British Gas Engineer has now been to look at the plastic pipes, had a bit of a job getting to them (had to take the extractor fan off the wall as it was attached to the pipe housing).
He called Worcester to make sure, but he now knows that ALL the plastic pipes within 600mm of the boiler have to be replaced with copper. He seemed quite surprised by this.
Now I've got to wait for them to get an electrician to disconnect the oven, so that they have room to get at the plastic pipes. Engineer seemed a little too happy to tell me he was off next week and part of the week after, so someone else would have to come back to do the job. Thanks to everyone for the posts and all the hard work you do. :lovethoug0
