Dishwasher instalation under draining board

I am about to install a dishwasher under a ceramic draining board (integral with a ceramic sink). The underside of the sink is about half an inch above the underside of the worktop. There is a cutout in the worktop for the draining board, but a 4 inch strip of worktop exists at the front edge and a similar at the back edge. Do I have to make up some vapour blocking plate to attach to the underside of the worktop and thus seal off the cutout, or will the narrow vapour seal plate provided be sufficient ??
