After DRO credit report help

Options
hi, I was informed to repost my thread here, so here is a quick summary..

my DRO ended in November 2015, so after a year I decided to apply for my statuary credit report from Experian.. My debts on there still show my default balance, with a code 8 by the payments part.. I thought the balance would now show zero or settled. I have received no letters for payments form any of my former creditors since my DRO started in 2014 so I presume all is settled with them, which is all that counts, and I don't need to do anything further. any help thanks

    Hi Malnuman,

As long as your DRO completed successfully and the DRO is showing on your credit report then the balances of the debts included should show a £0 balance and as settled. If this isn't the case then I would suggest you write to each lender and ask them to amend the information on your file. They should do this without hesitation, especially if the DRO is on your file (which it should be).

If they start asking for more proof the DRO was successful or refusing to update the details then complain.

thanks for the reply laura, yes my DRO is on my credit report, along with the start/end date and my case number.. however only two of my original six or seven creditors are still on my credit report, and as I said they just show my default balance.. When I first applied for my DRO I used Experian and all six/seven was on my file back then, so i am a bit confused as to why they are not now
