Not sure but think you are seeing this on the wrong side. Two mainstream credit card companies willing to lend to you, on a relative low income. That is actually good. You didnt get the 5K limit on one single card but take advantage of the limits they gave and transfer as much as you can. Any saving in interest is a saving and will help you pay your debt faster.
Some cards you need at least a 20k salary which is maybee why you got rejected. Dont take it personally, it is simple number crunching by computers.
  • If you're working 60 hours a week, 47 weeks a year, that is about: 15000/2820 = £5.32 per hour.

In this case you would be better off working a minimum wage job for one year at £7.20 for 60 hours a week, 47 weeks a year. You would earn 2820 x 7.20 = £20304 and be able to clear your entire debt in one year.

Alternatively, to work only 40 hours per week and still earn £15,000 per year, you would need a job that pays £7.98 per hour. I think supermarkets like Lidl and Waitrose pay around £8 per hour. This would leave you with 20 hours per week free to earn money in other ways, or work on your house.

This extra 940 hours per year could be spent doing many of the suggestions on this website, such as matched betting, software testing, and selling off unwanted items. Some people earn £1000 per month from matched betting alone.
