UKPC - Litigious or not?

Hi all
I've read a lot of threads on there about how to proceed with parking 'invoices'. I'm not trying to spam this site with any new threads about the same old stuff. I'm just curious as to whether we have any current idea how litigious UKPC are? From what I can see online they are not, but I did see something about them litigating back in 2014. Anyone have a view? I know the likes of ParkingEye are very litigious.
I'm being chased by DRP for a UKPC charge and getting all the standard scary letters from them. I know I should have appealed but now it is too late, lesson learnt.
Just trying to weigh up whether to pay the £160 'invoice' or to tough it out...
Insight appreciated.

Yes, on occasion, they can be a bit litigious (but not well organised). Mainly we see the odd claim only, for multiple PCNs though. Most people just get the daft threatograms and NO-ONE here pays UKPC unless a Judge tells them to (and we've won four-figure claim cases).
Why would you pay £160 when that's the same (pretty much) as if a claim is lost in court? No difference, only in court you can win and pay nothing and it does not affect your credit rating even if you lose. You'd be paying pointlessly and supporting two horrible firms.
Also, paying is not just a decision that impacts on you alone: 'oh I'll pay for an easy life'. Nope. You paying funds the business model as well as a chunk going to DRPlus - how despicable if people having come here and know the score, just do that. The £100 or so that UKPC would trouser, would fund the next few PCNs against more vulnerable victims.
Stop the rot, stop the chain with you.
To find out if any PPC is litigious, Google search 'name of parking firm BMPA insight'.
As I said on the thread you first posted on: Please read the NEWBIES thread:

and this one if you are getting daft DRP letters (LOL, ignore them):

Depends if you are in England/Wales as to whether UKPC might eventually try a small claim so tell them if you move house, just in case the DRP letters stop and a court claim arrives. At the moment UKPC sometimes do, using SCS law. That is NOT a reason to go mad and pay £160 pointlessly, seeing as even a lost hearing at small claims isn't likely to exceed that, even if lost! DO NOT PAY.
Start a new thread if you get a small claim in the end.
Why not fight back by writing to your MP and Theresa May:

Ask why a despicable firm like UKPC, ex-clampers who were caught out doctoring photos last year:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/11858473/Parking-firm-UKPC-admits-faking-tickets-to-fine-drivers.html
...are allowed to abuse the MCOL court system by potentially holding you to ransom for six years, in the worry of them 'credit clamping' you:

This is worse than car clamping was - make sure Mrs May and your MP hear your wrath. Put your effort into that fightback as the Government are looking at this issue THIS MONTH.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

These "scary" letters that DRP send out are based on pure rubbish and can only be ignored ...... second thoughts >> IGNORE DRP
UKPC do have a go at court but they are probably known by judges because they are fakers and fraudulent.
As they say ... " a fool and his money are easily parted"
Trust you are not that fool ???
Just wait to see what these fakers do next and then come back here0 -
Thank you both for your input. I feel reassured that I'm not being idiotic to ignore the letters (unless they are court papers of course). I hate that their scare tactics are working on me! I will see what happens next...0
