Clicking on comp links

Aha, I wondered what was happening. Same thing here and was getting frustrated with it. I will just have to remember to click to open in a new tab in future0

I noticed it too, and it's really annoying! However, if you hold down CTRL whilst you click the link (or CMD on a Mac), it will open the link in a new tab. It takes a while to remember to keep doing that, though. If you use an iPad, hold your finger on the link and it will pop up the option to open in a new tab.0

Help!
When I clicked on a link it used to open in a new tab, but for some reason now it opens on the comp page, and when I've done the comp and clicked off it the page closes and I have to reload the MSE site. It's really annoying not to mention time consuming!
Can anyone tell me how I can get the comps to open in a new tab again please?0 -
It's been going on a while and discussed quite a bit. Right click the link on your mouse and click open in new tab0

It has been reported in "Site Feedback": http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5535167
The latest update (13/10 1:30pm) is:Hi all,
Thanks for your feedback so far and we realise this is an extremely frustrating update, but an essential security requirement nonetheless.
The current fix is something we know to work for the short term despite the functionality issue, we know, being extremely frustrating for most of you (forum users), especially the compers and those using the competitions board.
As some of you have already highlighted; you can still use the CTRL button and/or right-click 'open in new tab' options. We very much appreciate your patience and feedback and ask you to please bear with us as we scope out a solution that overcomes this functionality gap AND secures the site simultaneously.
regards

Summary of ways around the problem:
On a PC:
CTRL+Left Click
Right Click and "Open Link In New Tab"
Click the Scroll Wheel on a mouse (ie. Centre Button)
Left Click and Hold Down and drag the link to a new tab at the top.
On a tablet/phone:
Press and hold down until you can select "Open In New Tab"0 -
