    They can ask why but if someone has power of attorney then they are in effect acting on the persons behalf and as I previously stated, an individual always has an insurable interest on their own life.

    They would not ask for medical details as these are not required on these plans. That it why they are normally such poor value, because the insurer knows it's taking a risk and that unhealthy/ill people could be taking them out.
