TV licensing Kafkaesque problem - please help!

I renewed my tv licence on 30th Sept by bank transfer.

I have not received my licence by email or post yet. According to the website I am not licensed.

I would like to speak to a human being but their call centre is Kafkaesque and I am going around in circles hearing automatic choices which do not let me speak to a human. I want to make sure they have my money and I won't get any Capita nasties coming around and harassing me.

Does anyone know if there is any number or anytime when they actually hire human beings. With all that money they should be hire a few actually people to sort out issues that are not on the automated menu choices.

If anyone can give me some advice, please do! Thank you.

Is there an option to renew by bank transfer?

Obviously, if any Capita people come round, just ignore them.

Other than that, just keep trying. If they are open in the evenings, then that tends to be quieter for most of these types of companies.

I've used their call handling system and it is ridiculously complicated. I don't think it's one of those where you can just wait to speak to a person, either.

If you renewed via a BACS transfer, did you use your TV licence number as the transfer identifier? As if you didn't, the money will be sat in their account with no one to allocate to.
