Sorry I haven't been posting. I'm wavering between hope and despair and more and more I'm despairing. I honestly don't think I'm going to get a job this time. It's harder every time. I've got 3 weeks minimum wage work in December but aside from that I'm on the verge of giving up hope. I've broken down in tears twice today. I try to put on a good face but I'm terrified and I don't see any solution because I can't even afford to pay my non-debt outgoings after next week.

I'm not in England so not sure how things work but could you apply for unemployment benefit? I'm a pensioner and paying my debt off from my pension, not as quick as I would like as pension is quite small, but at least it is something.

Also can you contact the credit card providers and explain the situation and ask them to put current payments on hold?

I know that feeling of fear, unfortunately. Do hope you have luck with a job, keep applying. My best wishes to you.

Yeah I've applied for JSA but it's very much subsistence. I'm hoping I can get through this without having to do that since that would probably kill the 0% offer on the new card.

  • Meh - that awful feeling of anxiety - yes, I know it all too well.

However, I believe you will find something. Do you still have the assessment thing tomorrow? Good luck if so!
