  • my Hubby declared himself BR last year.. the anxieties and stress beforehand were unbeleivable, when we got to the court, the reception ladies were pleasant, the usher friendly and the judge was stuffy and a little snooty, but certainly not unpleasant, just doing his job, probably being penny-less is something he could not relate to! The official receiver appointment was dreaded by us too, possibly worse than the day in court, but the OR was very pleasant, very thorough.... he was just doing his job after all, and let's face it, if he put us at ease, then his day was going to go a whole lot better than if we were all vile to each other....... The whole experience was painless really.... like most things, the thinking about it, the worrying about it, the fear and the loss of pride, is a hell of a lot worse than the reality...

  • Thanks everyone for your lovely comments. Its great to have such wonderful support. i missed a call from the OR on mon and although i'm sure its nothing to worry about, im a bit concerned he's phoned so quickly. Problem is, work at the mo is hectic and so i still haven't had chance to speak to him. Hope that he doesn't think i'm being difficult or avoiding him!
