When you change your car insurance over from your old car to a different car how long will it to take for the insurance and car tax to show online.

usuall overnight , however weekend might stop the update , I insured fri morn , still not showing but have cover note JPG on my phone

I've checked this morning and my old car is showing it's still insured but for my new car it's showing no insurance and no tax. I'm worried if I go out I will get stopped by the police. Can the car get clamped as it's parked on the road.0

You have taxed and insured it so no need to worry.
The insurers database does allow around 7 days for updates by insurance companies0 -
When I changed mine I just printed off the docs for the insurance etc and kept them in the glove box until everything appeared online.0

My latest insurance took 5 days, had me concerned enough to print out the documents and keep them in my car until it appeared on the MID database.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
