  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) just lost a long post. I hate this new computer, it keeps timing out, but the same thing does not happen if I use the I Pad.

Bright morning, strong winds during the night.

We are having a quiet day today.

Supper last night was very nice, cold cuts with jacket spuds and various salads. The desserts were scrumptious.

It was so cold I lit the fire yesterday afternoon, made it up when we went out, came home to a nice toastie sitting room and hall.

Towels on the line to dry off, they will be in the wash tomorrow, but nothing worse then trying to dry yourself on a towel that is still damp.

We had out usual Sunday breakfast in bed, we have something on most days next week, invited out for afternoon tea on Tuesday, Wednesday they are putting the gas meter in. Thursday OH has an appointment for his insoles at Melton Hospital, so any thing I need we can pick up from either Morrison or Lidl.

    Morning all,

Sitting comfortably in WCork watching DS1 cook late breakfast, having a nice cup of tea, lovely weekend here, went to Skibbereen yesterday for lunch, found a very nice little restaurant by the simple process of politely accosting someone who knows where they are going and asking their advice, my son and DIL were horrified, but it worked well so I may have converted them!

Warmer here today but still rather windy, we are going to pick blackberries whe DS1 and DGD2 return from a vist to a friend's house........hopefully bringing back some crab apples so that ican make jelly during the week.

Home later today, will probably be late enough, but I can sleep in the back of the car, which is a novelty for me.

    Have a good Sunday everybody

The sun did break through the fog so I did a white wash followed by a quick wash of coloureds. It's remained fairly cold but breezy though I had to bring everything in still damp as the sun leaves the back garden and moves to the front of the house. It's all now hanging up on the airer in the spare room with the dehumidifier on.

I mostly managed to do my planned SFA. An urge to clean the oven overtook me so I tried the bicarb/water/vinegar method (no scrubbing) and found it to be successful.

Then I caught up with three episodes of DCI Banks, fast forwarding through long anguished stares into deep faraway etc.

    Time for tea!

Aww FBO , he was a stunning boy :( Are you not tempted to get another in the future? When my lovely girl Candy died in August, I said no other dog could ever replace her, but it's way too quiet for me n Buddy now, so i'm getting a new pup next month called Bonnie :)
You can never, ever replace them; but you can fill the dog-shaped hole in your life. :o

    RR belated congrats to DD.

I didn't post yesterday; just didn't have the heart for it. However, I did light a candle for Ozzie - just as I did for Candy when she left us.

I've finally managed to wash my hair - it takes an age, too much energy, and needs Mr LW's assistance to do it now. :( I may possibly be able to convince him to chop a few inches off it for me. Possibly. Maybe.

OS-wise, I've made a cheese, Qu0rn, onion and tomato quiche, using some of the unpasteurised cream from the farmers market (the rest will probably be used to make choccie mousse, for a treat) and I've made blackberry'n'apple crumble - the blackberries were picked on our walk with Charlie and Harvey the other day.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
