TSB Credit Card Application

Having previously applied online and suffered a 'technical error' after appearing to be offered a Platinum 10 Month Credit Card I today made an application in branch.

After what seemed like an age going through the application, including a phone call to confirm a number of details, I was offered the Classic Credit Card.

I can't actually see any details of this card on TSB's website but I did find some details when searching online:

http://www.moneywise.co.uk/tsb/classic-card-branch

Interestingly the above link suggests 5% cashback on Android Payments which is not mentioned in any of the literature/Pre-contract credit information.

Anyone else have this card?

It isn't promoted online, but I've seen it mentioned in leaflets on display in a TSB branch. I didn't read all the information, but it was described as an ordinary/standard credit card, and I think the interest rate is higher than the platinum card, so I'd be very surprised if there was any sort of cashback with it.

Should have picked up a leaflet in branch. The link to the Moneywise website is the only mention of it that I can see. No 1% cashback but does mention the Android Pay Cashback. Perhaps a promotion between Android/Google and TSB to get people using Android Pay.

The offers are available on both Android/Apple Pay.

You can earn 1% per month (up to £500) from June 1, 2016 up to and including 30 September 2017.

5% cash back is earned on the first £100 of Android/Apple Pay transactions up to and including 31 December 2016.

For whatever reason TSB appear to make no mention of it whatsoever on their website.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.

It does in a roundabout way.

    http://www.tsb.co.uk/five-percent-cashback-terms-and-conditions.pdf

The terms and conditions, no. 2.1, say it's available with "your credit card", but it doesn't specify which ones, thus implying that it covers them all.

The terms and conditions for Android Pa, no.8, say it's available with any MasterCard credit card. The Classic card is a MasterCard, so it must be included.
