My son has recently moved into halls and is sharing a kitchen with four others.
They've set up a pot where they all throw their spare change in at the end of a night, and from that they're funding communal bread, milk and washing up liquid. They thought that made sense rather than having five individual cartons of milk, five loaves of bread etc. on the go with it going off before they get a chance to get through it.
Just thought I'd share as I thought it was a good idea.
