student house possessions insurance

Is it possible to get possessions insurance to cover the belongings of the whole household, rather than individually?

i'm a student living with my boyfriend (also a student) and with endsleigh i found it cheaper to insure all our possessions as mine. i don't know if this would work in your situation but it's ok for us because if anything happens, i can claim as it is all insured as mine, and give him the payout for a replacement. hope this help x

Make sure you check all exeptions-l insured my daughter with Endsliegh for her stuff in shared house and when there was theft of her things -by one of the other occupents-but no proof-we could not claim as they said it was not proved it was outsider and they dont cover damage or theft by fellow housemates anyway.

I haven't found anywhere yet. If you want anymore info on individual student insurance then there has been a recent discussion on the student board. The individual policies can be quite cheap (depending on what you're insuring).
