Dell PC won't connect to internet with Sky wi-fi

Options
My Dell PC has thrown a wobbler. After a year of working perfectly, it updated to a new version of win10 the other day and now it won't connect to the internet via my Sky wi-fi.

It will work with my phone's tethered wi-fi and the Sky broadband works with every other device but it say "SKY no internet, secured" on my PC.

I'm leaving Sky shortly but it is frustrating not being able to use the internet for the next couple of weeks.

Any help appreciated, thanks

It sounds like your PC might not be getting a valid IP address. You could try turning off your PC, rebooting your router, and trying again. If that doesn't help, check your network settings in Windows 10.

It's not Sky's problem, but they might be able to help get your PC connected if you give them a call.

Thank, I think you may well be correct about the ip address - I will give that a shot.

Put in your service tag and look for new WIFI drivers

Thanks but it didn't have wifi built in so I had a pci fitted. I think it is a qualcomm atheros ar9287 wireless network adapter but that may be totally wrong!

I will google them and see what comes up.

    Thanks
