Speak to your bank and remind them of the direct debit guarantee0

remind who?
just sitting here waiting for my money to be refunded - they said it could take 48 hours! Will I get compo for the anxiety caused and lack of funds over weekend?0 -
Your bank should put the money back in instantly due to the direct debit guarentee. Phone your back and ask them or go to a branch.
If you have anxiety problems you should probably see a doctor.0 -

I am surprised more has not been made of this !!!! up. There are thousands awaiting their money back according to the customer service department. I have yet to get my money back and it is nothing to do with my bank as Wonga asked for too much money out of my account.I have been told my mney is being repaid by close of play ie 10pm tonight. I hope so.................0

its everything to do with your bank, if it was direct debit they would have refunded an error immediately, do a wee google search on the direct debit guarantee, as I said earlier someone took a direct debit from my bank today that shouldn't have, the bank refunded it within hours0 -
For clarity - the DDs I mentioned are for utilities etc due on Monday. Wonga took double the payment due today so leaving me very short of cash to pay my regular DDs. Someone in Wonga took double payments for everyone who was due to repay a loan today!.0
