Thomas Cook want to cancel holiday. ADVICE PLEASE

Hi

Booked a holiday just over a week ago from the Thomas cook website. Paid in full as it was with in 12 weeks of departure. Have had a phone call saying that they need to cancel it because it was priced wrong. Bearing in mind there were several cheap dates and it was advertised on 2 different websites. Or pay the extra £800.

My question is can they do this with in the 60 days before departure. Is it legal what they are doing.

Any advise gratefully received

Thanks in advance

    How cheap was it?

If there was an obvious error and you chanced it, then yes, they can cancel the booking and insist that you pay the proper price. If the price was realistic then it is a good deal more difficult for them...

What do their T&C's say regarding this?

The terms and conditions will say they can pretty much do what they want, whether that is enforceable is a different matter.

If the OP can post further details then others might form an opinion, it will depend on what was reasonable under the circumstances, so a trip at 20% off might be considered so, one at 90% off probably not.
