Traffic app for android mobile

Is there an app for android mobiles which is similar to Traffic Uk on Apple systems?

I cannot find one which shows actual live traffic build up on a map.

Thanks for any suggestions

Google Maps - does this - has a Traffic option - overlays a coloured line on the map/roads - darker the colour, the heavier the traffic

There's Navmii that gives you traffic alerts but I've not used it myself as I've a beemer with idrive.

Doesn't Waze, which is owned by Google, offer live traffic updates similar to the data used in Apple Maps under licence from Tom Tom?
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.
  • Thank you all for your suggestions.

I will check them out now but I already have tried the Highway agency one and could not find the thing I wanted.
  • Thank you so much bobabuilder. The googlemaps app is just what I was looking for.
We often meet traffic on a local journey and are not sure which way to go, this will tell us !

Strongly recommend using Waze for live traffic conditions. It is very accurate and also alerts the driver to hazards, speed cameras and police based on other driver's updates.
Watch this video to see how a driver was pro-actively alerted to an object in the road and avoided it in good time.

I've tried Waze but I really prefer Google Maps. I didn't like the Waze interface and the information it has is dependant on the number of users so in more remote areas you may not get as many alerts.
