trying to buy a house

Trying to buy a house and we put in the contract that we will pay 138,000 if we get favorable inspection and termite inspection results on their house. They accepted our offer yesterday. Our realtor said get an inspector. I got one today. I popped in to see him at 10am after he'd been there an hour. There didn't seem to be much wrong with the house but he hadn't even been on the roof yet even. He still had another hour of inspecting to do. So my husband calls me after work saying the realtor told him the sellers want the inspection results today because they have two other people interested in the house. We don't get the official report until 24-48 hours. The realtor said she sent the termite guy there today and all is fine. I was like "What's the rush?" The realtor is scared we'll lose the house now. So what the hell was the point of us putting in a bid and them accepting it if they can't even wait two days at the most for the results? Doesn't this sound fishy?

This is a UK board, I think you either need to be very lucky and have someone with US(?) real estate knowledge stumble over your post, or find a similar board for US house-buyers!

Unless perhaps this is the insect house at London Zoo, you won't be finding any termites !0

since that is the only (so far discovered) colony in the entire UK your post is about as relevant as, for example, someone asking about termites in the property they are buying in the USA because, of course, it is a well known fact that all .Com websites must be USA onesErr.....There was a colony in my neck of the woods.....:eek:0 -
