Slow mortgage broker rant

My broker came from holiday on Monday 26th and sent me email stating he's got everything to get the ball moving.
Today 29th he asked for payslips, bank statements, sale particular, etc. I can't get hold of him, he wants me to send the papers to his postal address. That's 4 full days lost!
Couldn't he just come clear on Monday? I would even drive to his house to hand the papers over!

Hope that your are prepared for what's potentially yet to follow. I hate to think how much you are going to rant about your conveyancer.
  • You won't believe the solicitors are all right! They got all papers last week and are doing searches now, it's a broker who received sale particulars on Monday but kept quiet till now.

Do brokers need original documents or scanned ones are acceptable?
  • Just you wait til all you hear from your solicitor is "we're waiting for responses to enquiries" week after week.

    Do I sound bitter?!

Surprised that your vendors have instructed their solicitors yet with no mortgage offer on the table. Have your vendors found a property themselves?

Do we know what they're waiting for? Apparently our chain is slightly complete, at the beginning we was holding up everyone then it turns out we are the only ones to do everything and 'be ready' bizzar!!!
