No let's just let companies do as they please even if that does mean taking more money than otherwise agreed
That's why I contacted them as not only is £21 quite a bit of money to me as I have a low income but morally and ethically it's not right for companies to do this. . .the word fraud springs to mind!0 -
"I've spent time on the telephone to them today at Budget Breaks with them not being forth coming with a refund for the over charge."
So what's going on?! Unless you have some clueless idiot on the other side of the phone (possible), there is some coherent argument as to why a refund is not forthcoming!
You need to spell out the reasons given by the company. A third party (ie us) can then see whether that is a fair stance or not.0 -

1) They didn't believe it was possible for it to happen
2) After speaking with his superevisior they said they had to do a 'track back' where their 'tech team' would look at the process I'd gone through to book the trip (basically doing a dummy run to see if it happened to them)
3) After doing the 'track back' they concluded that they don't know what happened and I'd been charged what they considered the correct price
over to you. . . . .0 -
If they've gone through the exact same process to book the exact same package and came out at the price you paid it would suggest that the mistake was your end somewhere.
Are you certain you haven't missed something somewhere? A tick box that you ticked to say you have read that maybe has additional info about charges? Added on any extras without realising?0 -

Nope, it appears they're not honouring the quote I received prior to making the booking0 -

Looks like this is going the way of small claims court action0
