Noddle - Financial Association

I've just signed up to Noddle and Lloyds Bank still has me financially linked to an ex.

This was last reported back in 2007.

The joint account was closed down when we split up around 2008 and my single Lloyds account was closed this year. When I click on the dispute link on Noddle it asks for details of the current address of the financial connection - I haven't seen him since 2008 and now have no idea where he is living.

How do I go about getting him removed now I no longer bank with Lloyds or as it's so old since it was last confirmed should I not worry?

Thanks

Write to them pointing out that there is no financial association and in maintaining the link they are publishing libellous information about you (not to mention the fact they are also breaching data protection law in that they are supplying confidential financial information about your ex. to all comers without his consent).

    Hi

This ICO booklet has a sample letter you can use to disassociate on page 19.

EDIT - The information below is incorrect and Noddle uses Call Credit.

The Noddle report uses the information from Equifax so you could use the Equifax process instead, but if you don’t know your ex partner’s details you can’t give them. The fact remains that if the joint account is now closed you shouldn’t be associated.

This page says that if you don’t know certain details of the financial associate you can leave them blank.

    Equifax? Don't you mean Callcredit?

This is the first time I've heard of Noddle having anything to do with Equifax.
  • Noddle is Callcredit, Clearscore use Equifax. No point in contacting Equifax for Noddle issues.

Sorry, Noddle does use Call Credit. Thanks boo_star.

I'm also in the process of doing a "financial connection is no longer valid" dispute with Noddle...after you click the dispute button, there is an option to add 400 words in the box. I would just example that the financial connection has ended and account was closed many years ago. I would also add that due to a separation you dont know the current address of the finanical connection in your credit report. This should be fine as financial connections remain on your credit report forever, unless removed and I'm sure many people have issues giving complete details 10 years on etc......

Hope you sort things out....might be a good idea to check Experian and Equifax as well, as they might also be showing the financial association.

    best wishes

I have clear score and I also paid for my £2 report from Experian, he's not showing on either of those reports, I've never had a problem getting credit previously so hopefully it's not impacting anything.

I'll try just giving as much information as I can in 400 words and hope that starts something rolling.
