You're picking an expensive head unit to start with. Then using Halfords which will make all the extras expensive too.

A bluetooth head unit can easily be picked up for £60 upwards. I doubt wiring and facia adapters would take the total over £100.

Try this - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/bluetooth/head-units/alpine-ute-72bt-media-receiver. Stick all your music on a tiny USB stick or play music from your phone. I haven't used a CD in the car for years.

I used to own a 1997 Renault Espace ad changed the original stereo for one with CD playig capability. Even this needed an adapter (cost £12 for adaptor with free fitting).

If your car has the radio and CD info on a separate screen, then you will most probably lose this feature.

Btw, Citreon/Peugeot cars tend to have a slight issue as the radios fiited have no anti-theft code, but instead have their serial number coded into the ECU. Thus, the radios are useless once removed (unless you are fitting in another PAS vehicle and have the programing kit).
When you fit a non-PAS stereo, the ECU cannot 'see' it, so may well not provide it with power.
