what is better for my credit file?

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of clawing back my credit rating after a default (that I have been challenging for over a year.. but that's another story)

I have a credit card (unrelated to the default) that I don't really use, it has a £3k limit and it has had a £0 balance for a good few months now.

Would it be better for my to close the credit account and have a settled account on my file or keep the card and have the greater credit availability?

I'm hoping to get a mortgage at the beginning of next year which is why I'm a bit desperate for as many positive factors on my credit file as I can get !!

Thanks in advance everyone :)
