Maplin return - praise

I'm not a great fan of Maplin as imo much of their stuff is overpriced but I was impressed with their acceptance of a return I made. I recall the fuss and performance I had with a set top box return to Currys a few days after purchase from Currys this year when I had to argue the toss with a manager for half an hour.

I had bought a Netgear D7000 from them as I wanted to improve my WiFi and reduce to a single box solution. I needed something locally as I spend most of my time away from home in the summer.

I have security cameras and a VOIP phone that reroutes to my mobile so I need the connection to be stable. Skipping the details the connection was dropping after a few days and not recovering but it got to three months later before I knew for sure it was the router and returned it. I told the guy on the till it wasn't holding the connection and must be faulty. He just processed a refund with no quibble whatsoever. Thank you Maplin.

They aren't as cheap as many online vendors, but they're right there when I need them, and have some silly toys to lure me! But yes, their returns are great, even for mind-changes upto 30 days as long as packaged up saleablely.
