Hello everyone, after many years struggling I eventually obtained a dro earlier this year. It has been a breath of fresh air and is wonderful not to be worrying about who is knocking on the door, asking kids to make sure they don't leave windows open when going out and parking far away from the house.
While i'm not proud of the situation I'm in at least now I can see a way forward and a future without constant worry and pressure.
Looking to the future I have been checking my credit reports which are obviously terrible however have now noticed most company's have marked my accounts either settled or partially settled. There is one company whom is the exception to this rule and is marking my account as defaulted every month.
Is this something I should contact them about yet. Im only 6 months in so understand it could still fail if my circumstances change although that's very unlikely. Should they still be marking as default though?
One day I hope to once again obtain a mortgage and while I'm in no position just yet hopefully in 6 years just maybe

The default date should be the date of the DRO, or earlier
If it isn't, complain until it is put right0 -
They can only mark as defaulted once, subsequent ones are just confirming no status change. It should be marked as settled, but maybe some only do this once the DRO is over(as it could in theory be revoked).
I'd follow up the status and default dates once your DRO is complete. It took around 3 months after my IVA completed for all creditors to update statuses.0
