A claim or not a claim?
I'm about to get a new year's car insurance, and I'm a bit confused by the terminology.
Someone drove into my car and wrote it off. Their insurance company gave me a cheque for the value of the car.
My question is - who made the claim? Was it me or the person at fault?
I *think* I'm right in saying that I have not made any claims (i.e. they made the claim to their insurance company for the damage done to my car).
Or did I make a claim, but it was a no fault claim? Or is a "no fault" claim where the parties agree neither was at fault?:think:

You were involved in a claim, but it's a no-fault claim.0 -
You need to notify them of claims and any accidents or incidents even where no claim was made. If you fail to declare you risk having your insurance cancelled.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
