Hi all,
I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this but wondering if anyone knows if you can use household/spousal income on a credit card application? Had a quick google and it seems you can in the US but i can't find anything for the UK. I'm on a career break after maternity leave so have no official income but really need to transfer some balances.
Thanks in advance!

I think the problem is that the requirement to declare the income of a third party is not easy as you have no way of knowing for sure what they earn.0

I imagine that if you're getting a card in your own name, you can only declare your income as your partner/spouse wouldn't be liable for the debt.0

I recently got a Virgin card (sole application) and it asked for my income and household income.0

Some card providers do ask for household income only. However, you still have to enter an occupation ("homemaker" would be yours presumably?).
An application by your spouse/partner may produce a better limit, assuming they're not also carrying (too much) debt and they have a decent income.0
