Have got a Tesco credit card, will qualifying purchases from Tesco be covered under section 75? or is this an example of the lender and supplier being the same?

Yes, subject to the normal conditions of section 75.0

Just to clarify, would this be an acceptable setup of debtor-creditor-supplier arrangement required under section 75, with Tesco Bank as the creditor and Tesco as the supplier?0

Yes. .0

In any case, does the customer name (e.g. on a receipt or invoice) have to be the same as the name of the cardholder?0

In what context? If you mean using the CC to buy for some one else then no that's not covered. The card holder needs to have the benefit of the item. Similar to a secondary card holder buying some thing on your account wouldn't be covered unless it was for you.In any case, does the customer name (e.g. on a receipt or invoice) have to be the same as the name of the cardholder?0 -
1) In the context of buying a kitchen, if my dad's name was on the invoice as the customer, but I paid some amount on my credit card. Would this be covered? In an empty property owned by my dad.
2)A different example, if I was the customer buying a phone as a gift for someone else, and also using my credit card. Would this be covered?0 -
If you live there and use the kitchen then this is arguably a "yes". If you don't live there then I'd say "no".1) In the context of buying a kitchen, if my dad's name was on the invoice as the customer, but I paid some amount on my credit card. Would this be covered? From what I understand this won't be covered once you give the phone away.2)A different example, if I was the customer buying a phone as a gift for someone else, and also using my credit card. Would this be covered?0 -
I take it you didn't understand my last post. No your not covered unless you go live in the property and no your not covered because it's not your phone.1) In the context of buying a kitchen, if my dad's name was on the invoice as the customer, but I paid some amount on my credit card.
