So about a month ago I won a trip to Curacao Pride and I am here now.
I bought my laptop in case anything went wrong at work (I'm a computer programmer and odds are something will break whilst I away!)
I have found myself comping and just wondered if this was normal, or whether you all take a break (no pun intended
) whilst you are away?

I went to a lodge in Snowdonia to a wifi not spot for a week, had to volunteer to do all the shopping for the group so I could use the free wifi in Tesco! It's hard to switch off the addiction and accept the fear of missing out. But don't go too hard and forget you are on holiday to relax from the stresses of back home.
Some words of warning:
Some apps will know your location and not let you enter (some gleams).
Some sites will track your ip and location and auto-disqualify you for not being in the uk (hard to know though so you could be wasting a lot of your time).0 -
I must be the odd one out - when I'm on holiday my technology stays at home. Definitely no MSE, no comping, no social media, no surfing the net.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Enjoy yourself for a week and clock off from comping! Everyone needs a break now and again! If you cannot switch off then you are obssessed and that is worrying.....a real disorder!
! Switch off and enjoy your break and spend time with your family!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I only enter if i spot anything good on my facebook or in an email when away on holiday but don't get much popping up as i normally start to unsubscribe to emails before i go away to make it easier to check them if needed.0
