Outlook 2007 & Isp Server Number

Can anyone help with this as I driving myself mad. I am sure I have seen it somewhere but cannot find now.......

I am upgrading my PC to Office 2007. I have got as far as upgrading Outlook and putting in the usual bits for configurating accounts but then I get a request for my ISP Server number. Where is this? Do I have to contact the ISP to find this out or is it stored somewhere in my settings.

I have gone completely blank.

Please help!

The Server Number? Is it trying to configure itself for dialup? What exactly does the prompt/dialog say?
  • there should be 2 boxes. POP3 and SMTP. These are the IP addresses or host name of the mail servers your ISP use.

If you go into your existing version of Outlook > tools > Account Settings , you'll have incoming (POP3) and outgoing (SMTP) boxes with entries such as pop.tiscali.co.uk and smtp.tiscali.co.uk (for Tiscali obviously).
'pop' and 'smtp' are the server names on the tiscali domain.
