Could I use this same template but send it as an email rather than a hard copy? Would make it a bit easier for me, especially as I'm due to move house in the next month.

Not sure if there is any down side to this? (It sounds as if they would rather do it by email)

I would recommend registered snail mail - make sure when you move that you set up mail redirect anyway - a good idea in any case if you ask me...

The reason is if they try to chase it in anyway then they can deny your email arrived (and often do) - and sending it recorded helps them grasp that frankly you probably have taken some professional advise and so it's not really worth their while chasing this as you won't buckle if it's statute barred :)

As long as you send something.

A good olde fashioned letter is preferable, but an email will suffice.

Keep a copy just in case.

And of course they would rather do it by email ;) its free and maximizes their potential profit on the debt they bought for a few pence...

I've sent the email and have already received a "we have received your email" reply, so I'll stick with this method, I think. Thanks all

    Good news:

They've emailed me back today saying:
We have been carrying out an internal investigation in relation to your accounts.

Please accept this communication as confirmation that these accounts have been subsequently closed.

    Thanks for the advice, all

Well done, bit more advice for you, keep that email, it's not impossible they will sell it on to another bottom feeder DCA.
